So I don't remember what I posted in my last entry, and I'm to lazy to look right now.
Jackie and I are pretty much fully moved into our room now. Well, I still have boxes to unpack and stuff to put up on the walls, but we do have a few posters and Christmas lights up!
I've only had one of my classes so far, Intro to Psych, but it seems pretty interesting. Lots of reading though. No real homework, just study for the tests and pass them. And I think the class will help me understand my "Human Sexualities Across Culture" class.
That class is going to be crazy. I kinda wish it were a discussion class instead of online because it would be cool to talk to people about how they think about sex and sexuality, but even so, it's still going to be very interesting. There's even a few chapters on how instant communication has impacted sex and what it means. WAY COOL.
My first payment on my Ecuador trip is down! I'm going to Guayaquil, Ecuador for six weeks in June/July to do animal rehabilitation.
I'm really excited to go on this trip, meet new people, and make an impact somewhere that isn't Alaska. This trip will be a definite jump out of my comfort box, and it'll be hard to be away from everyone for so long (I'll be heading to Ecuador straight from NY after the big Ireland trip with Cat and Papat, so I won't be home from May 22 till early August). But at the same time I'm really really excited to go do this!!
Tomorrow is my first day of art class, hopefully it'll be interesting too. But I'm not really jazzed to go to class right at this moment. Really, I'd just like to go home. Only two more years after this and I'll be done!

In the cold again
Winter break is over *sob*. I had a lot of fun spending time with Cody and his mom and seeing my family and high school buddies again. The weather was really wacky though. And now I'm back in Fairbanks.
This semester I'm rooming with my friend Jackie and so far I think it's going to be a blast. We switched dorms, and so now I'm closer to the Tilly (cafeteria), most of the school buildings, and the Student Rec Center. And our room is bigger than my old one, granted, we bunked our beds which freed up some space, but still it feels sooooo much bigger. Pictures to come after all my junk is moved in! (GAWD I have a lot of crap).
