gahd, ridiculous

I don't like living in a wet dorm. Not because I hate drinking or whatever, and I'm not anti-party (though it's not my scene), but having a party on a Wednesday night is rather ridiculous. Just because you don't have class doesn't mean that other people don't. And when people say "yeah, party is ok) we still expect you to be respectful of us. That means don't be so loud that we can hear you through your door, four plus doors down the hall. That means don't bring your party out into the hall where you continue to be loud. That means don't slam doors and bang on things.

RAs are supposed to stop this sort of thing.

It really sucks when its 130, 2 am and you can't remember the RD's number or the RA on-call number.

It's things like that that make me glad I do don't the college party scene.

Second Year

Yesterday, I came back to Fairbanks. Yeah, I wasn't supposed to end up back here, but I had issues with UAA, and so I'm back.

I didn't bring as much stuff this year, which is nice because my room doesn't feel all cluttered. My roommate is really cool, and I think we'll get along. She's an art major and likes comics.

Being here without Cody is really, really, disconcerting. Things don't seem the same without him, and it's kinda lonely. Of course, I don't have anything to do yet since classes haven't started, so I'm not distracted by class work. I finished a scarf, and was going to start a hat, but I don't have the right needles for it. BLAH.

Now I'm just waiting for classes to start tomorrow so that time will feel like it passes by faster, so that I can see Cody sooner, and I can be done with this stupid place.

Bartlett doesn't seem to be as well kept as Moore was - the shower stalls don't close well. And it seems emptier. But we finally got the subway and mini store downstairs in the common area. Elsewise, everything seems the same.
