So I really am a fail at blogging.
First order o' business: my huge trip(s) this summer are mostly recorded at my travel blog Traveling Fred. My pictures are on my facebook and will be on the blog as soon as I get time to do that.
Which won't be soon because I'm at school.
Roomin' with Jackie again this year, taking Bio and Chem classes for my major and abnormal psych for my minor.
Will learn to blog better.

Lottanobooza
Is a school event here at UAF where students don't drink for 24 hours, and take a breath test every 3 hours to prove we haven't been drinking. As a reward, we have our names drawn for prizes.
That means Jackie and I trudged up the big hill 9 times, in the snow, hail, and rain (yes we had ALL THREE today), to blow into a tube.
It paid off: I won a Rockband! SO HAPPY!!! I've been trying to get a Rockband or Guitar Hero all summer, and now I won one! :D Jackie won a iPod shuffle, so now she can bring music with her when we go to the gym.
Now we're going to the dance in a couple hours it's gonna be mega fun :D

Bleh
I came back from break and my fridge was unplugged - my orange juice rotted and soaked thru it's container, the milk went bad and tried to blow up it's jug; the eggs and coffee creamer went bad. No fun. Plus my water bottle got all moldy. And my coffee mug thing went MIA.
I dyed my hair back to pure all over black again, the red roots are gone, and I look better than I did.
Gah, I'm tired. This weekend Jackie Nichole and I are going to try to have a girls night. FUN! YEY!

I'm seriously done ...
... dying my hair. I tried to make it sort of red over break, just a reddish tint. The same two inches of my hair that turned blonde when I tried being blonde, went a nice reddish brown and the rest stayed black. So... I'm sticking with black hair for a while, until I can afford to go to the salon and get my natural colour back .... if I can remember it. >_>
Back at school, donwannabe. >_<

Amazing!
Today is Cody and mine 2 year anniversary! I can't believe it's only been two years, I feel like I've been with him forever.
He surprised me this weekend by randomly showing up Friday night. I guess he orchestrated the whole thing with Jackie and my other Fairbanksian friends and no one let anything slip! I was sort of freaking out because he wasn't answering my calls and he wasn't in Anchorage with his friends like he told me, I thought he was hurt or something. Then Jackie tells me she has a surprise in the hallway and I see a weird dark shape in the hallway, and realised it was him!!
It was a great weekend, he spoiled me rotten and lavished me with attention :) I can't wait to go home Thursday and spend a whole week with him!
I think I'm going to steal Keegan for a sleepover one night too, give mom and dad some mom-and-dad time, or something. ^_^
This week is already going well :D

....and shame
Last week was full of a few epic fails. I fell in slo-mo in front of several people, dropped my food on the ground before I finished loading my plate, got addicted to games, put my homework off to the last minute - just general failure. So we're putting it behind us and MOVING ON.
I'm just really glad Cody talked me out of cutting my hair by myself, unsupervised. I'm an emotional hair cutter, hair dyer. I think I like having longish hair though, but I do miss having it be really black. So for Aunt Jen, Mom, and Granma and Granpa, should I dye my hair black again, or just leave it be?
WOO!

College ... ugh
Because of a series of bureaucratic errors and mishaps with both UAA and UAF, I will not be graduating this spring.
Bummer. Moving on.
I'm going to be staying at UAF for the next few years, so I can get my Biology BS (BA?) and get a teaching job or something.
Ecuador is still on.
I went home for the weekend, got back three hours ago, and I'm exhausted.
And I have class tomorrow >_<

This posting is rated PG - ... not for kids?
Seriously, it's not.
My human sexualities class is a headache. I've learned over the past couple days it is NOT an online class I want to devote one day to. I want to spread it out over the week because it HURTS YOUR HEAD WITH ALL THE WORDS.
Each week, I have a quiz, read 7 or so essays and do a summary on each, and then analyse a news article and write a response to it stating why it relates to this week. Typing it out doesn't seem so bad. I actually feel a little whiny. BUT STILL. My brain is a fart right now.
This class isn't what I thought it would be content-wise either; we're basically disecting every aspect of sex. I thought it would have more to do with sexual identification across the world or something, but I guess that's more of an anthropological view. *Sigh* It's still interesting though. I think I'm just rusty with actual school work. This 300 class reminds me of senior year actually *insert eye roll*.
I hates college.

A Public Service Announcement from your friendly UAF residents
There was a guy singing Journey songs this morning at 1 am. I thought he was high, smoking pot, and was about to call campus police when I saw an RA go out and start talking to him. Apparently, he was just stunningly drunk (I figured that out because he could barely walk). It's too cold to drink and smoke people! Stay inside if you're gonna get snackered. And don't sing. Especially Journey. No bueno.

Update or something...
So I don't remember what I posted in my last entry, and I'm to lazy to look right now.
Jackie and I are pretty much fully moved into our room now. Well, I still have boxes to unpack and stuff to put up on the walls, but we do have a few posters and Christmas lights up!
I've only had one of my classes so far, Intro to Psych, but it seems pretty interesting. Lots of reading though. No real homework, just study for the tests and pass them. And I think the class will help me understand my "Human Sexualities Across Culture" class.
That class is going to be crazy. I kinda wish it were a discussion class instead of online because it would be cool to talk to people about how they think about sex and sexuality, but even so, it's still going to be very interesting. There's even a few chapters on how instant communication has impacted sex and what it means. WAY COOL.
My first payment on my Ecuador trip is down! I'm going to Guayaquil, Ecuador for six weeks in June/July to do animal rehabilitation.
I'm really excited to go on this trip, meet new people, and make an impact somewhere that isn't Alaska. This trip will be a definite jump out of my comfort box, and it'll be hard to be away from everyone for so long (I'll be heading to Ecuador straight from NY after the big Ireland trip with Cat and Papat, so I won't be home from May 22 till early August). But at the same time I'm really really excited to go do this!!
Tomorrow is my first day of art class, hopefully it'll be interesting too. But I'm not really jazzed to go to class right at this moment. Really, I'd just like to go home. Only two more years after this and I'll be done!

In the cold again
Winter break is over *sob*. I had a lot of fun spending time with Cody and his mom and seeing my family and high school buddies again. The weather was really wacky though. And now I'm back in Fairbanks.
This semester I'm rooming with my friend Jackie and so far I think it's going to be a blast. We switched dorms, and so now I'm closer to the Tilly (cafeteria), most of the school buildings, and the Student Rec Center. And our room is bigger than my old one, granted, we bunked our beds which freed up some space, but still it feels sooooo much bigger. Pictures to come after all my junk is moved in! (GAWD I have a lot of crap).
